Since 2019, the legend of The Backrooms has fast become the new era of horror, having spawned many videos, games, memes and bringing the concept of liminal spaces to outstanding popularity. Thankfully, it's all just a legend... Right?

The Backrooms - Insanity puts you in the perspective of a middle-aged man who has accidentally fallen into the Backrooms. After finding a lost diary from an unknown survivor, it becomes clear that this maze is no different from what the famous creepypasta told.

Embark on a harrowing journey as you discover the eerie entities that are out for your blood. Each entity represents a manifestation of your deepest fears, and escaping their clutches won't be an easy task. Stealth, wit, and resourcefulness are your only allies in this desperate bid for survival.

Collect Pages

Your goal is to collect 9 scattered pages hidden throughout the Backrooms. These enigmatic pages hold the key to unravelling the mysteries of this twisted place and unlocking the path to freedom. Be vigilant, for each step you take and every page you collect may bring you closer to salvation or plunge you further into madness.

Maintain your Sanity

As you progress, beware of your sanity. Prolonged exposure to the Backrooms can lead to disturbing visions, auditory hallucinations, and ultimately, your demise. Staying close to flickering lights may offer temporary respite, but be cautious—the darkness is unforgiving.

Turn out the lights

Not all the entities are adapted to the dark. Switch off the lights using the small remote you found with the diary. Don't stay in the dark too long though, it's not good for your sanity. Do so at your own risk.

Full Game Changes:

-Removed The Angel (He was useless and bugged) and replaced him for a second stalker

-Shortened the diary

-Pages are generally easier to find

-You have to collect nine pages instead of thirteen

-Pause Menu (Opening diary also pauses the game)

-Death Screen with death tips

-Replaced a couple of sound effects

-Cinematic perspective in Main Menu

-Fixed an issue where the game could be impossible
